Delhi rainsThe capital city, Delhi had experienced good spells of rain and thundershowers on March 5 and 6. These weather activities have helped the pollution levels to decrease as it remained in the ‘satisfactory’ category in many parts of Delhi and NCR region. All these weather conditions were seen due to the presence of a Western Disturbance and its associated induced low-pressure area.

During the last 24 hours, the weather of entire Delhi and its adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad remained dry with partly cloudy sky conditions.

At present, the weather systems have moved away in the east-northeast direction. Also, due to the incursion of cold northwesterly winds with high moisture content, moderate to dense fog was observed at a few places in the region of Delhi and NCR during early morning hours today.

Now, as the day progresses, the maximum temperatures will also start rising due to cloudless skies. While a drop in the minimums is likely to be observed. The sky will remain partly cloudy. These weather conditions are expected to prevail until March 10.

Thereafter, another fresh spell of rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds is likely. This spell will be seen between March 11 and March 15 in Delhi and NCR region.

Although the upcoming rains will help the pollution levels to remain in ‘satisfactory’ category, till March 10, the AQI of Delhi and NCR will be rising slightly in the wake of dry weather.
