In the absence of any significant weather system, dry winds are continuing over the entire state of Maharashtra. However, during the last 24 hours, a significant drop has been noticed in the night temperatures of the state.

Out of all the regions in Maharashtra, Vidarbha has recorded a major drop in its night temperatures. Moreover, due to favourable conditions, we expect minimums to maintain or to drop further in many parts of Vidarbha region, while cold day conditions would also prevail in some pockets.

City- wise, Nagpur has recorded minimums around 8.6℃,which is below normal by 4℃. Likewise, Yavatmal has recorded temperatures at 9.4℃, below normal by 5℃.

In Marathwada too, night temperatures have fallen to some extent. Minimums in Aurangabad have been recorded around 8℃, I.e below normal by 3.4℃ while Parbhani has recorded its night temperature at 9.9℃, below normal by 3℃. In the coming days too, we expect this situation to continue and cold conditions to some extent would prevail.

For Madhya Maharashtra , the lowest temperature of the season has been recorded over Ahmednagar I.e at 6.4℃, which is below normal by 4.9℃. Similarly, Pune has recorded its minimums at 8.8℃, below normal by 2.2℃, followed by Jalgaon at 9℃ and Nashik by 9.3℃, below normal by 2℃. Further, for the entire region of Madhya Maharashtra, day will be experienced as comfortable in the coming days.

For Konkan , Santa Cruz and Dahanu , temperatures have been recorded around 15℃, I.e below normal by 3℃. Cooling has already started over the area. However, coastal stations may experience an increase in their minimums after 24 hours. .

At present, a trough is extending from Southeast Arabian sea to Telangana in the upper level. Further, a trough is likely to form from South Central Arabian sea to Konkan region in the lower level. As a result of this trough, we expect moderate fog to form over some parts of Vidarbha region. After 24 hours, the region of Madhya Maharashtra might also experience light fog and mist.

However, Mumbai being a coastal station will remain devoid of any major weather change and will experience mainly sunny to partly cloudy sky.
