Southwest Monsoon 2019 finally marked its onset over most parts of Maharashtra including parts of North Madhya Maharashtra on June 25. The city of Pune has also been witnessing isolated rains since June 23.

In fact, during the last 24 hours, rains increased over most parts of Coastal Maharashtra with few intense showers over the financial capital Mumbai and its suburbs. Due to these weather activities, increased rains were also observed over parts of Madhya Maharashtra.

Talking about the city of Pune, in the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Pune recorded 13 mm of rainfall activity. Today also since 01:00 PM, scattered rain and thundershower activities are going on over the city.

These rains have been associated with the strengthening of the Monsoon surge over Coastal Maharashtra. In the wake of this, now further we expect intense weather activities over the major cities of Mumbai and Pune.
