weather in Rajasthan

The intensity of Monsoon rain has significantly decreased in the state of Rajasthan during the last two days. Nearly, the entire state has been observing dry weather conditions barring isolated light rains over East Rajasthan and the northwestern districts such as Sri Ganganagar.

According to our meteorologists, the axis of Monsoon Trough has now started to move in the north direction and is currently passing through Phalodi and Ajmer. In addition to this trough, the Cyclonic Circulation that was over Southwest Rajasthan has weakened now. As the western end of the axis of Monsoon Trough further shifts northwards, light to moderate rains would commence over East Rajasthan, starting from today.

As time progresses, the intensity will increase and many districts of the state will start receiving moderate spells with one or two heavy showers. Monsoon rains will reappear over Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Karauli, Jaipur, Tonk, Bhilwara, Ajmer, and Dausa and these places stand a chance of recording moderate to heavy rains.

By August 4 or 5, the spread and cover of Monsoon rains will extend up to the northeastern parts of the state as well and good rains are expected here. By this time, the intensity will reduce in South and Southeast Rajasthan. And only scantly rains are likely in Bharatpur, Alwar, Dholpur, Sikar, and Sawai Madhopur.
