The national capital witnessed one of the heaviest spell of rains on Friday. The region recorded a good 41 mm of rainfall. In fact, on Saturday too, light rains were seen over Delhi and its adjoining regions of Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. With these rains, the weather became extremely pleasant, with drop in temperatures.

As per weathermen, this was considered as the last rainy spell of Southwest Monsoon 2017 over Delhi and the NCR region. Now, Skymet Weather expects dry weather conditions to prevail, with clear sky and bright sunshine over the region for the remaining days of September.
Till date, the city has recorded 89.4 mm of rainfall as against the monthly average mean of 129.8 mm. Major contribution came from the rainfall that was recorded over the capital of the country on Friday.

Currently, the minimum temperatures are settling near the normal and we expect morning and nights to remain cool and comfortable. On the other hand, maximum temperatures may rise by 2 to 3 degrees reaching near the normal level, with sunny and clear days. Humidity is likely to stay on the lower end due to flow of northwesterly winds.
For now, any significant weather systems approaching northwest India is not foreseen for the next few days. In fact, the Western Disturbances have also become frail in nature. Thus, dry weather will prevail over the entire Northwest India that includes Delhi-NCR.
