Rain activity amidst 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday is as follows: Jabalpur recorded monstrous rains to the tune of 90 mm, followed by Seoni at 25 mm and Mandla 21 mm.

As reported by Skymet weathermen, we presume moderate to heavy rain over many parts of west and central Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Thenceforth, the rain belt will shift over north and eastern pockets of the state. Hereby, good rain and thundershowers are possible to lash cities like Guna, Sagar, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Jabalpur and Satna. These areas would see moderate rains with isolated heavy showers for the next two to three days.

Even more, the axis of Monsoon trough will linger over South Uttar Pradesh and so its effect would be observed by the cited regions of Madhya Pradesh.

The intensity of showers may decrease over South Madhya Pradesh in particular Dhar, Khargone, Khandwa, Betul, Hosangabad, and Seoni, however light rain would still continue.

As of August 27, the state of Madhya Pradesh is rain deficient by 8%. Division –wise, East and West Madhya Pradesh, both are rain deficit by 15% and 2%, respectively.
