The entire state of Maharashtra has been witnessing good rains for quite a long time now. Likewise, light to moderate rains have been observed over some parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over Madhya Maharashtra. Further, this system is likely to move westwards towards Konkan & Goa region.

Due to the effect of this weather system, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over several places in Vidarbha and Marathwada during the next 24 hours. Whereas, many parts of Madhya Maharashtra particularly northern districts of this region will witness moderate to heavy spells during the similar time frame.

Places such as Pune, Ahmedabad, Nashik and Jalna will witness moderate to heavy rain and thundershower activities during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile districts such as Nagpur, Jalgaon, Hingoli and Aurangabad will observe light to moderate showers.

Due to the westward movement of this above-mentioned cyclonic circulation, the intensity of these rains is further expected to increase over North Konkan & Goa including cities like Mumbai, Dahanu and Thane as well as over North Madhya Maharashtra within the next 24 hours.

Maximums are expected to remain around 30-32 degrees Celsius, whereas, the minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 20-24 degrees Celsius. Hence, the entire state of Maharashtra will continue to reel under cool and comfortable weather conditions.
