More rains to drench Hyderabad, Telangana in next 24 hours

rain in hyderabadaHyderabad has been witnessing on and off rains for the past one week, keeping the weather comfortable over the city. In span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Nalgonda recorded 16 mm of rains, while Hyderabad saw traces only.

Now, the good news is that the rains are likely to continue over the state capital for another 24-48 hours. Not only this, rains will also cover nearby areas of Telangana as well.

According to Skymet Weather, these spells can be attributed to the trough that is extending from East Bihar up to Coastal Karnataka across Odisha and Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

In wake of this, southern parts of Telangana are likely to record moderate showers with one or two heavy spells. Hyderabad may also record one or two good spells of rains for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, Hyderabad would continue to record light rains.

With these ongoing rains, minimum temperatures would settle in the comfortable range from 23°C to 24°C. Meanwhile, days would be warm with partly cloudy sky and maximum temperatures would settle in lower 30s.

Southwest Monsoon ended on a positive note for Hyderabad that recorded surplus rains by 9%. Meanwhile, Telangana as a whole was rain deficient by 13%.
