During the month of March, temperatures shoot and touch 40 degrees as well in Mumbai on many occasions. In fact, heat wave during this month is a normal phenomena for the capital city of Maharashtra.
However, this year has been slightly different and Mumbai has yet not seen maximum is reaching 40 degrees. There was an instance of heat wave around the fag end of the second week but even then the temperature remained at 39.6° celsius.
Whenever, the maximum touches 40 degrees, it is during the fag end of the month, which has been the case last year where in the maximum reached 40.2 degrees on March 28. ,
However, from the looks of it it seems like Mumbai may defy the 40° trend this time. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, no shooting temperatures for Mumbai is likely and the maximums may remained confined to 35 degrees
