The weather remained pleasant on Ganesh Chaturthi over Mumbai and suburbs. There were occasional showers over parts of Mumbai and suburbs but did not play spoilsport in the festivities. During the last 24 hours, Santacruz recorded 14 mm and Colaba 3 mm rain.
Today, there may be isolated light showers over Mumbai and suburbs. The weather over Mumbai and suburbs is expected to go almost dry from tomorrow. Isolated pockets of Mumbai and suburbs may witness spot showers or passing rain for a short duration until August 27. There may be a marginal increase in temperatures as well, but weather over Mumbai and suburbs will not become sultry.
Moderate winds from westerly direction will continue over Mumbai and suburbs, and rain activities may resume once again from August 28. There may be few intense spells of rain over Mumbai and suburbs between August 28 and 31, but we do not expect any severe waterlogging during that time.
