The city of Mumbai has been seeing light rains for the past couple of days with the city seeing heavy showers a few days ago. These rains are expected to slightly increase but will continue being in the light to moderate range only from today until September 14.
These rains are attributed to the Circulation which is off Konkan Coast and the depression which has moved towards Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh and is inching closer to Maharashtra. Due to these features, Mumbai has been receiving some rains. The line joining these two systems is also running close to Mumbai
Rains are only expected to increase around September 15 wherein heavy showers may be seen in some parts of the city. Rains will start to recede from September 16 and will remain so for the subsequent seven days or so.
