The month of September started on a rainy note for the city of Mumbai and since then Mumbai has been receiving on and off rainfall activity. so much so that there has not been a single day where the city has not received any rain at all.
In the last 24 hours Mumbai saw light rainfall activity to the tune of 9 mm. Today there has been very light rainfall activity in the morning hours.
Now as per weather man at Skymet Weather, Mumbai is expected to see moderate spells of rainfall during the later part of the day. Moreover the city can see moderate rains for the next three days that is today tomorrow and day after tomorrow between September 10 and 12.
A low pressure will come up tomorrow in the Bay of Bengal and the system is expected to stay there for a couple of days. this will activate the monsoon surge along the West Coast. The cyclonic circulation is also over West Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan. the combined effect of all these whether features will result in rainfall activity over Mumbai and adjoining areas.
The city will see moderate rainfall only and very heavy rains are not expected however one odd spell of heavy showers in between cannot be ruled out.
