As per Skymet Weather; we can expect scattered rains to continue over parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra during the next 24 hours.

Similarly, South Konkan and Goa are most expected to record moderate showers with one or two heavy spells during the same time period.

Light to moderate rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds may occur over some parts of Ahmednagar, Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad, Bhandara, Beed, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Hingoli, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Pune, Satara, Solapur, Wardha, Washim and Yeotmal during the next 6 hours.

Furthermore, the intensity of the rains will increase over South Konkan and Goa particularly Sindhudurg, Ratnagairi and Vengurla, wherein heavy to very heavy rains may occur after 24 hours. In fact, there are probabilities that these heavy showers may end up in coastal flooding and water logging.

In the interim, Mumbai and neighborhood would have to wait until June 23 for good Monsoon rainfall. Monsoon will become active over most parts of Maharashtra around June 27, when fairly widespread rain and thundershowers will occur over the entire state.
