Winds are expected to continue to blow from the east direction which will ensure that the temperatures would remain on the higher side. Weather will be dry with bright sunshine and clear sky. Hence, not much relief is expected from the ongoing warm weather conditions over the region.

At this stage, let’s look at the impact of this weather on agriculture:

Due to partly cloudy weather in the past week and increased temperatures, pest infestation can be noticed in Mango, Grapes, Pomegranate and vegetable crops. Farmers are advised to take proper measures to avoid pest infestation.

It is advised to provide irrigation to the summer crop as per soil moisture and crop requirement. Complete the harvesting of physiologically matured crops of Jowar, Bengal gram, and Wheat. Store the harvested produce at a safe place.
