No relief from Delhi Air Pollution for next two to three days

November 8, 2021 5:37 PM |

Delhi Pollution has been wreaking havoc over the national capital with the Air Quality Index hovering in the hazardous category for a couple of days. The pollution levels did come down a bit but not much relief has been seen and the city still continues to see air pollution levels in the very poor category even now.

In fact, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, there does not seem any relief from Air Pollution over Delhi and the NCR region in the coming days as well. At present, winds are northwesterly and westerly in nature and they are not as strong as they should be to get rid of the pollutants in the air.

Moreover, the stubble burning is at its peak in Punjab and Haryana which will further add to the misery. Along with this, due to westerly flow of winds, the dust particles from Rajasthan will be reaching Delhi and the NCR region.

Therefore, low temperatures and light winds will prevail and these conditions will further help in accumulation of pollutants and hence Delhiites will continue to breathe bad quality air for at least the next two to three days. These pollutants can only be washed away with strong winds or some rainfall, and none of these two seem to be in the offing for another 2-3 days.
