The hills of North India i.e. Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been witnessing comfortable weather conditions. Since the last two days, isolated rains were going on over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Now intensity of rain has increased significantly over the Western Himalayas, many places have received light to moderate rains, one or two heavy spells were also reported particularly over Jammu and Kashmir, which led to flash floods.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Solan 69 mm, Dehradun 25.5 mm, Dharamshala 24.6 mm, Mussoire 19 mm, Bilaspur 3 mm, Shimla 2.2 mm, Kullu 1.8 mm, Manali 0.8 mm, Gulmarg 9 mm, Jammu 3.1 mm, Srinagar 5 mm, Haridwar 1 mm.

Further also we expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers to continue over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for at least next 3-4 days.

However, rains will reduce over Jammu and Kashmir and isolated rainfall activity will continue.

Weather will become pleasant over most of the hill stations particularly Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgaon which were experiencing above normal maximum temperatures.

Possibility of land slide and mud slide is likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which may lead to minor disruption in traffic.
