PM Modi to flag off Faridabad Metro amidst pleasant weather

Narendra Modi to visit FaridabadPrime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Faridabad for the third time, after assuming office, on September 6. Modi will be here to inaugurate the DMRC's newly laid ITO-Badarpur corridor extension. After inauguration of the metro line, Modi will address a gathering at a ground in Sector 12, Faridabad.

With conditions being favorable for withdrawal of Monsoon from Northwest India, adjoining areas of Haryana are also witnessing mostly dry weather conditions. Any kind of rainfall activity is not likely on Sunday. Dry northwesterly winds blowing over the region will keep the morning hours pleasant. But, afternoon hours could be a little sultry.

Faridabad Metro

Residents of Faridabad will now be able to enjoy the Delhi Metro services from Badarpur to Escorts Mujesar in Faridabad. The ITO-Badarpur violet line up to Escort Mujeser will stretch for approximately 13 km and comprise of nine metro stations within the perimeter of Faridabad. The project was completed within the sanctioned cost of Rs. 2,494 crore.

Faridabad is a rapidly growing industrial hub in Haryana. The metro line will ease commuting between Delhi and Faridabad. It will also largely reduce the traffic volume of Faridabad. At the same time commuting will now become affordable, environment-friendly, quick and comfortable.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new route in the morning hours. It will be open to public by 4 pm on Sunday.
