These rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation that is persisting over Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining areas.

As per weathermen, light to moderate rains are likely to continue over many places of Maharashtra. Parts of Marathwada and North Madhya Maharashtra, which were experiencing dry weather in the past, will continue to settle with good rains for at least another 2 days. Hence, the weather will remain comfortable with cloudy sky conditions.

To name a few places that will record rainy spells during the next 24 hours include Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Parbhani, Jalgaon, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara.

Around October 13, rains will again reduce significantly over entire state of Maharashtra, however, light rain will continue over South Madhya Maharashtra with isolated activity over Vidarbha region.

With weather going dry and warm, day temperatures that are currently settling in lower 30s, will start mounting and reach mid-30s.

The reason for the reduction in rain activity can be ascribed to the weakening of the cyclonic circulation and at the same time the trough over central parts of Maharashtra will move towards the south, paving way for dry northerly winds over the entire state.
