As reiterated by Skymet Weather, another spell of rain and snow has commenced over the hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In fact, higher reaches such as Pahalgam and Baramulla have already recorded light rain and snow.

All thanks to fresh Western Disturbance, which is now seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region. In wake of this, weather conditions have become conducive for the weather activity.

Rain bearing clouds have been hovering over the region since morning, and day temperatures have already taken a significant dip. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures have increased due to rise in levels of humidity.

According to Skymet Weather, scattered light to moderate rain and snow is expected to lash the region throughout Wednesday. However, the system is moving at a very past pace and is also not much active in nature.

Due to this, we do not expect the rain and snow activity to continue for very long. Weathermen predict the system is likely to clear away from the region after the next 24 hours. Thus, activity will also prevail for 24 to 36 hours only.

Famous tourist spots of Srinagar, Manali, Shimla, Gulmarg, Pahalgam will see another spell of snow.

This season, all the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have received some record snowfall. Places such as Nainital have also recorded snowfall after the span of two years.
