Uttarakhand has been receiving good rains since the last many days. On and other hand, Himachal Prdaesh has been receiving on and off rain and thundershower activities, but intensity is comparatively lees over this state.

Weather of Jammu and Kashmir is almost dry for the last few days. However, isolated rain activities have occurred occasionally over all these states.

During the last 24 hours as well, light to moderate rains occurred over many places of Uttarakhand and Himachal Prdaesh, along with few places over Jammu and Kashmir.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday, Dehradun recorded 45 mm of rain, followed by Nainital 29 mm, Mussoorie 7.4 mm, Nahan 38 mm, Chamba 25 mm, Dharamshala 22 mm, Jammu 27 and Pahalgam 6 mm.

Now, a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir around September 13. Due to this, we expect rains to increase over Jammu and Kashmir between September 13 and September 15 whereas, Uttarakhand will continue to receive good rains throughout.

After September 15, we expect rains to decrease once again over Jammu and Kashmir as well as over parts of Himachal Pradesh but light to moderate rains may continue over Uttarakhand.

As rain intensity will not be heavy to very heavy over these states therefore, chances of cloud burst are very less. However, landslide or mud slide may occur at few places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
