Ramagundam in Telangana receives heavy rains

The state of Telangana received some rainfall activity in the past 24 hours. In fact, the northern districts received moderate to heavy showers.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, Bhadrachalam recorded heavy rain to the tune of 59 mm, followed by Ramagundam 10.6 mm, Hanamkonda 4.8 mm, Hyderabad 1.2 mm, Nizamabad 2 mm.

At present, the well-marked low-pressure area over Odisha and adjoining area is moving inland. Thus, moderate to heavy showers are expected to occur over the northern districts for the next 24 to 48 hours. Meanwhile, light rainfall activity will occur over the southern districts.

According to Skymet Weather, rain and thundershowers with moderate lightning are expected over Adilabad, Hyderabad, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Malkajgiri, Mancherial, Medak, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Warangal Rural and Warangal Urban during next 18-24 hours.

Talking about the day temperatures, currently the maximums which are settling in the high 20’s are expected to drop further and make the weather conditions pleasant especially over the northern districts as rains will be on the higher side over the aforementioned region.
