The state of Kerala has been witnessing rains of varied intensity for the last few days. Moreover, the month of October has been a good one for Kerala with the state receiving rainfall almost on all days. In fact, there have been only a few days that Kerala has not seen rains this month.

Talking about the last 24 hours, the state has recorded some good rains. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Kozhikode recorded 61 mm of rainfall, Kannur saw 85 mm of rains, Karipur 33 mm, Valparai 25 mm, Alappuzha 6 mm, and Punalur 11 mm.

Talking about rainfall activity in the coming few days, rains of varied intensity are expected to be seen in the coming two to three days.

These rainfall activities will occur due to a combination of a few weather features. A cyclonic circulation is over is EastCentral Bay of Bengal, under its influence, a low pressure area is expected to form over the same region during the next 24 hours. Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Arabian Sea off Karnataka Coast. A shear line is running from one system to another across the state of Kerala.

Thus, rains will continue to persist over the state of Kerala, more towards the northern region for the next few days.
