Monsoon has yet not made an onset over Uttar Pradesh. The pre-Monsoon period also did not pour much rain over the state. During the last 24 hours, the entire state witnessed dry weather conditions. Only Agra received light rains. By this time of year Monsoon generally, covers most parts of Uttar Pradesh. Though, Monsoon is still stagnant over Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. As on June 26, East Uttar Pradesh is deficit by 44% while West Uttar Pradesh is deficit by 11%.
As per Skymet Weather, Monsoon is likely to pick up the pace and it is expected that it may reach many districts of Uttar Pradesh. Scattered rain and thundershowers activities are likely to start by June 27 night or latest by June 28. Thereafter rain intensity will increase. By June 29entire state will be covered by Monsoon.
Today we expect rain and thundershower activities majorly over Northwest Uttar Pradesh. It will cover cities like Badaun, Baghpat, Bareilly, Bijnor, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Rampur, Saharanpur, Sambhal, and Shamli.
though Monsoon is making a late onset over the state this year thereafter good rains will splash the state during the first week of July. Few heavy spells are also likely.
At present, the weather is hot and uncomfortable in most parts of Uttar Pradesh but we expect the mercury to decrease and whether to become comfortable in the next 48 hours.
