Uttar Pradesh rains

The state of Uttar Pradesh has been experiencing almost dry weather for the last few days. As a result, day temperatures are slightly higher than normal despite being in the last week of November. This has kept the winters at bay till now, but the wait is now over.

According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance has approached Jammu and Kashmir which has also induced a Cyclonic Circulation over the northern plains. The effects of these weather systems are already been felt over the plains during the last 24 hours. Patchy rains were seen over Bareilly, Moradabad, Nazibabad, and Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday.

Now, we expect scattered rainfall and thundershower activities over the western and the central parts of the state by November 27. Moreover, isolated hailstorm activities also cannot be ruled out. In fact, light rain with thundershower activities are very much likely over Lucknow and Kanpur but the eastern parts of the state of Uttar Pradesh will remain almost dry.

The weather would start clearing up by afternoon or evening of November 28. With this, cold northwesterly winds from ice capped Himalayas would commence over Uttar Pradesh. Initially on November 28 and November 29, we expect the minimums of western and central districts of Uttar Pradesh to drop down by 2 to 3-degree Celsius. By November 30, most of the parts of Uttar Pradesh will experience winter chill.

So, we can say that the winters would set in over many parts of Uttar Pradesh by the month-end.
