Normally, rains occur over Vaishno during the winter due to Western Disturbances affecting the Western Himalayan region. However, this year, there has not been enough Western Disturbances, which is why rains were also scanty across the Vaishno Devi area. Now, a Western Disturbance has approached Jammu and Kashmir region This system has included a Cyclonic Circulation over Punjab and North Rajasthan. With the combined effect of these two weather systems, we expect light showers with partially cloudy sky conditions over Katra and Vaishno Devi today.

However, by tomorrow, we expect the weather to become dry. Along with this, the sky will clear up by tomorrow and bright sunny day will be witnessed. As the long weekend is approaching, we expect clear weather with few clouds between January 26 and 28. According to the current seasonal scenario, weather over Katra will be comfortable in the range of 18 ° C, while nights will be cold with minimums around 7-8 °C.

Weather of Jammu will be slightly warmer, but conditions will be comfortable with day temperature settling at 20°C. Nights will be cold with minimum at 7°C. Weather at the Bhavan will be much colder with day temperature settling between 13-14°C and nights are likely to remain very cold with minimums between 4-5°C. As per weathermen, there will be no weather activity during the long weekend which is why it is the perfect time for devotees to pilgrim Vaishno Devi. No rain is expected with clear and sunny days prevailing over the region.
