Rajasthan Weather

The state of Rajasthan has been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past ten days. So much so that there has been no rainfall activity over Rajasthan in the said period. The last time the city received rains was on February 11.

This no rain show can be attributed to the absence of any significant weather system prevailing close to the region. Moreover, the Western Disturbance that had formed over the region in the last few days were not strong enough to induce a cyclonic circulation.

Presently many cities in the state have been recording above normal temperatures. In fact, both maximums as well as minimums having been settling 5 to 7 degrees above the normal levels. Due to this, warm weather has been prevailing over the state.

Now, a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayas which will induce a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Northwest Rajasthan. Due to this system, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected over West and North Rajasthan on February 23 and 24.

Cities of Sri Ganganagar, Churu, Bikaner, Jaisalmer are expected to witness some rainfall activity during that time. With these upcoming rains, temperatures over the state may witness a drop which will result in some change in terms of weather conditions.
