East India

Dry weather has been prevailing in Gangetic West Bengal for the past few days. But during the last 24 hours, scattered light rain has occurred in the region including the city of joy Kolkata. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy spells of rain have been lashing many parts of Odisha that pulled down the day temperature in the state 5-7 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

The southern districts of Jharkhand such as Ranchi and Jamshedpur have also witnessed light rain. While the weather of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh has remained almost dry.

According to our meteorologists, we expect that the confluence zone which was persisting over the eastern parts of the country to gradually shift southwards due to which the weather in Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will remain dry.

Meanwhile, we expect on and off rain and thundershowers to continue in Odisha during the next 48 hours. Thereafter, the rainfall activities will subside in the state.

Post 48 hours, we can say that the weather of entire East India will become dry leading to a further rise in the maximum temperature. Warm day conditions will begin to persist in entire East India.
