Rains ahead for Nagpur, Nashik, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal, Beed and Nanded

The state of Maharashtra saw mostly dry weather in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, temperatures remained below normal over the coastal and northern region of the state i.e. in the regions of Coastal Maharashtra and Madhya Maharashtra. At the same time, southwesterly moist winds were blowing over Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada. Temperatures remained a bit high over these areas. Also, a warm afternoon prevailed over the region.

A Cyclonic Circulation has formed over east-central Arabian Sea. Also, a Trough is extending from this system from Marathwada to Central parts of Arabian Sea.

Due to the combined effect of the system and the anti-cyclonic winds, parts of Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada may receive light rains and thundershower activities during the next 24 hours. Cities such as Nagpur, Nashik, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal, Beed and Nanded will be mainly affected.

Temperatures over the Northern parts of Maharashtra are set to rise for the next 24 hours. Also, the sky will remain partly cloudy over most parts. Mumbai and Pune will observe dry weather with a partly cloudy sky.

Wind pattern will change after subsequent 48 hours over the state. At the same time, coastal parts of Maharashtra will see dry and warm weather.
