Rains have been lashing Uttar Pradesh for quite some time. However, the state of Uttar Pradesh will now see reduced rains now starting today. Isolated light rains may be seen for the next two days. This is because Monsoon trough has shifted to the south of its normal position.
Once again, after 2 days, a trough will once again shift northward and third day onward, the trough will be running across the Indo Gangetic Plains wherein rains will once again pick up across Uttar Pradesh.
Thus, starting June 27-28, foothills may see some heavy rains with other parts of Uttar Pradesh seeing moderate to heavy showers during the rest of the days of July. This may spillover to August as well, as the trough may remain over its normal position for long.
