Rains likely over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar during next 24 to 36 hours

In wake of an active Western Disturbance, lying over the northern parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir, along with its induced Cyclonic Circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana, the western parts of Uttar Pradesh experienced light rains over few places during last 24 hours.

On the other hand, rest of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar experienced dry weather along with moderate to dense fog over many places. Meanwhile, day experienced pleasant weather followed by cold night.

Further, as both above weather systems are moving in east/northeastward direction across Uttar Pradesh and northern parts of Bihar, the next 24 to 36 hours would observe spell of rain and thundershower activities over Uttar Pradesh as well as over northern parts of Bihar.

Further, chances of hailstorm over North Uttar Pradesh at isolated places such as Najibabad, Bijnor, Bahraich and Pilibhit cannot be ruled out.

Talking about day conditions, day is likely to remain cold over Uttar Pradesh, while pleasant over Bihar. On January 7, northern parts of Bihar and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh will experience cold day conditions along with spell of light rain and thundershower activities.

Further, over western parts of Uttar Pradesh, night temperatures will show a decline. However, these temperatures will increase over the state of Bihar.

Coming down to southern parts of Uttar Pradesh, light rain at isolated places will occur. Meanwhile, the central and northern parts will receive light rain over many places. Places like Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly , Bahraich, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Gonda in Uttar Pradesh will experience the touch of rains.
