These rains can be attributed to the Western Disturbance which has been persisting over the Western Himalayan region. Moreover, the western end of the axis of Monsoon trough is currently passing through North Punjab.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh may see some moderate rainfall activity as well.
