During the last 24 hours warm and humid weather with good rains prevailed over Kolkata and Gangetic West Bengal.

Currently, the cyclonic circulation lies over Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar. An upper air trough is extending from Northwest Madhya Pradesh to Assam across central parts of West Bengal. This upper air trough is likely to shift southwards as southwesterly warm and moist air mass is prevailing over Gangetic West Bengal.

Therefore, we can say that during the next 24 hours, warm and humid weather with cloudy sky will prevail over parts of West Bengal. Light rain and thundershowers may also affect over some parts.

Hence, moderate rain and thundershowers with strong wind and moderate lightening will affect over Kolkata and Gangetic West Bengal region after 24 hours.

Talking about the temperatures over Kolkata, maximum temperatures are settling in the mid-30s whereas, minimums are ranging between 24-25. However, we can say that due to the occurrence of rain and thundershowers the day and night temperatures are settling below normal. Humidity conditions have also increased.
