We all know that central parts of the country have been receiving very good rainfall in the wake of successive low-pressure areas which are developing over the Bay of Bengal. Almost all these low-pressure areas are travelling across Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh leading to heavy downpours over these states.
That is why Madhya Pradesh is surplus by 21% and Chhattisgarh by 20%. Recent low pressure which travelled up to Rajasthan has intensified into a well-marked low over Chhattisgarh and depression over Madhya Pradesh. Districts of Madhya Pradesh have witnessed flooding rain during last 2 to 3 days.
Now weather has gone almost dry over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. This situation will change soon. Another low-pressure area has it developed the over North Bay of Bengal. This weather system will once again move in West Northwest direction across the Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
Light scattered rain may commence over Chhattisgarh by afternoon of August 18. And by August 19 many parts of Chhattisgarh including Eastern part of Madhya Pradesh will also start receiving rainfall.
Between August 20 and 22nd most parts of Madhya Pradesh may receive good rainfall. Month of August is expected to remain good for both states in terms of rainfall.
