September 23, 2021 1:59 PM |

At the moment, the Indian basin is quite active in terms of weather systems. While some systems have already moved inland, the other ones are still in the process of getting into Bay of Bengal and following a similar track.

The low pressure which was over East Rajasthan and adjoining areas, is now over Gujarat region and adjoining areas as a Circulation. The system has already shifted westwards from Rajasthan to parts of Kutch and Saurashtra.

Moreover, at this moment, the weather system is partly over Kutch and partly over Sea and will soon shift into the deep sea. Due to this system, light to moderate rains are expected over parts of Gujarat during the next 24 hours, reducing thereafter.

Another system which was a low over Odisha, is now over Chhattisgarh and adjoining East Madhya Pradesh as a Cyclonic Circulation. The effect of the system will be seen on either side with rainfall activity expected over Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and even extending up to Telangana. Northern parts will also see some rainfall activity in view of this system.

Third system is over Myanmar region at present and will enter the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 to 36 hours. Thereafter, it will take subsequent 48 hours to move inland and follow a similar track like the previous system. The fourth system is over Thailand and will take some time in reaching the Bay of Bengal. These series of weather systems are expected to keep Monsoon active and result in rainfall in many parts of the country.
