Shimla hotter than most parts of North & Central India

With just days left for the holidays people across the country have started to plan out their vacations. And many would want to visit the queen of hills – Shimla in search of shivering cold weather – but the weather of Shimla has changed drastically in the last 2-3 days.

A significant rise in the minimum temperatures has made the hill station feel more like a city from the Deccan region. The minimum temperature of Shimla recorded this morning was at a staggering 12°C. This temperature was actually 8°C above normal for the hills station.

People who are visiting Shimla to experience bittering cold weather right now are experiencing pleasant weather.
Just a day back, Delhi’s night temperature was colder than Shimla’s; even today the similar temperatures were witnessed.

The reason for such risen minimum temperatures is clear weather and absence of any Western Disturbance. It is expected that a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to show up over the hills on December 22, so it may take a while for the temperatures to plum further.

So by the looks of it, this year, the Christmas in Shimla to be pleasant and the chill is most likely to remain absent.
