November 14, 2013 3:59 PM |

The higher reaches of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are expected to witness a short period of snowfall on 16th and 17th of November. A fresh Western Disturbance will arrive over the Western Himalayan region by these dates.

The Northwest plains that are shivering under below normal temperatures too early in November will witness a marginal rise in night temperatures while there is snowfall and rain in Western Himalayan region. The real concern for the people in the plains would be the weather after the eastward passage of the Western Disturbance. Icy winds after this could spell another round of fall in night temperatures in the Northwest plains, Central and East India.

Delhi will continue to witness minimum temperatures of around 11 degrees for next two days. Delhi recorded 11.2 degrees on Thursday, Sky will remain clear in the national capital and shallow fog will be witnessed in the morning hours.

Weather in Central and East India will continue to witness below normal temperatures. Bhopal is expected to witness night temperatures of 12 to 13 degrees which is below normal by two notches. Day temperature could fall further by two degrees to be around 26 degrees, under the influence of northerly winds.

Allahabad, Varanasi and Patna in east India will witness dry and cool weather due to prevalent northerlies. Temperatures will remain below normal by 2 to 3 degrees. Night temperatures will remain in the range of 12 to 13 degrees with day temperatures of 27 degrees.
