While the entire India relishes good Monsoon showers, the trend of rainfall above 100 mm has made a comeback in the country.
Monsoon seemed to be vigorous over Konkan &Goaregion, hence heavy to extremely heavy showers were witnessed at many stations like Harnai 154 mm, and Bhira 137 mm.
The low-pressure area lying over North Bay of Bengal, has also given heavy rains over GangeticWest Bengalin the last 24 hours where Diamond Harbour recorded 165 mm of rains. A few other areas over the region have also received very heavy rains.
One or two places in SouthMadhya Pradeshhave also observed three digit rainfalls like Hoshangabad recorded 126 mm.
Hilly areas of Western Himalayas such as Himachal Pradesh have also witnessed very heavy rains like Dharamsala recorded a whopping of 174 mm rainfall.
Here’s a list of regions that have recorded a three digit rainfall in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday;
Heavy to very heavy rains are possible overGujarat, Madhya Pradesh,Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh.
Moderate to heavy showers are likely over Southeast Rajasthan, adjoining West Madhya Pradesh, SouthUttar Pradesh,Chhattisgarh, parts of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Coastal Karnataka.
Southwest Monsoon is expected to bring scattered light to moderate rains over Himachal Pradesh,Uttarakhand, rest parts of Uttar Pradesh,Bihar, Northeastern states, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Kerala.
