The state of Gujarat, that was suffering with large deficiencies have seen a massive reduction in them and rains have been lashing different parts of the state for some time. Moreover, some rainfall activity has been seen in the last 24 hours as well.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Valsad witnessed a whopping 133 mm of rains, Okha recorded 69 mm of rains, Dwarka 58 mm, Mahuva 33 mm, Kandla 30 mm, Naliya 22 mm, and Keshod 17 mm.

These rainfall activities are attributed to the system which is over Gujarat region. The system is now shifting to the Arabian Sea, which is why rains will see some reduction for now. However, rains will be between light to moderate in some areas of Saurashtra and Kutch today. In fact, Gujarat is all set to see a prolonged spell of rain in the coming days due to a series of systems.

Another system over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will shift over Gujarat region by tomorrow, which is why good showers are expected to be seen over North and Coastal Gujarat including Surat, Valsad, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Deesa etc. Rains over Saurashtra will  be on the lesser side tomorrow.

A third low pressure has formed in Bay which will see a rapid advancement and will start affecting Gujarat by September 26-27. Thus, during that time parts of Central Gujarat and Saurashtra may see heavy to very heavy rains. Places including Anand, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad etc. may also see some showers.
