With this, death count in flood related incidents across the state has now increased to 200. Reportedly, Shahjahanpur is the worst affected district, followed by Sitapur, Jhansi, Amethi and Auraiya districts.

According to Skymet Weather, we do not accept any relief in the ongoing flood conditions as more heavy rains are likely to lash several parts of the state. Weathermen are predicting heavy to very heavy rains for the next 48 hours over many parts of west and central parts of the state.

Apart from this, two cyclonic circulations have also been embedded on the trough. One is over Haryana and adjoining West Madhya Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh and the other over central parts of Uttar Pradesh and adjoining North Madhya Pradesh.
In wake of this, heavy to very heavy rains have been lashing many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Nepal.

For the past one week, Bareilly has been recording heavy to extremely heavy Monsoon rains since last one week. Jhansi too has been crossing 100 mm-mark quite often. Other districts in central region such as Lucknow, Kanpur and Hardoi also received heavy to very heavy rains.

These torrential rains have led to swelling of many local water bodies such as Ghaghra, Kosi, and Betul, which are now blowing either close to or above the danger levels.

Now also, the axis of monsoon trough is likely to remain over Uttar Pradesh, along with an embedded cyclonic circulation over central parts of Uttar Pradesh, which would continue to give heavy to very heavy rains for the next 48 hours.
