Weather forecast for the week in India from 30th Sept to 6th Oct

Northwest India

The start of the week will witness rain and clouds over northwest plains but they will reduce mid-week onwards. Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Delhi will receive rain during this period. Days will be pleasant initially but rise in temperature will make the weekend warm. Hills will be warmer than the plains as subdued rain and partly cloudy sky will keep the temperatures above normal. Morning and evening hours will be cool.

Central India

Gujarat and adjoining areas of Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh will receive rain during the first two days of the week. Thereafter rain is expected to decrease. Temperatures in these areas will start rising mid-week. Meanwhile, northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Orissa will start receiving rain from the middle of the week which will intensify by weekend.

East and Northeast India

Rain will start increasing in east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand from mid-week. Light rain will occur at the start of the week which is expected to become moderate to heavy by weekend. Temperatures will remain below average throughout the week.Meanwhile, temperatures will start rising in the northeast region as the weather here will turn dry by the middle of the week.

South India

North coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu coast, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka will witness rain during the first two days of the week. Rain will decrease in Karnataka but will continue in rest parts of the region till the weekend starts. West coast will continue to receive light rain with occasional moderate spells at one or two places during the week. Temperatures in the region will remain near normal throughout the week.
