Weather Forecast for the week in India from May 27 to June 2

Let us take a look at the weather forecast for the week:

North India

Almost dry weather conditions are expected to continue over entire North and Northwest India. With this, temperatures are set to increase over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan.

However, isolated light rains cannot be ruled out over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during this week without having much impact on daily routine. Whereas, heat wave like conditions would make a comeback over the Northwest Plains. By the end of the month, isolated pockets of Rajasthan and Haryana would see heat wave conditions with temperatures touching the mark of 45°C and above.

Central India

In Central India, weather would be dry. However, on and off rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over South Chhattisgarh between May 29 and June 2. Heat wave conditions are expected to continue over many parts of Vidarbha and some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and Rajasthan. Temperatures of Gujarat too would rise leading to heat wave conditions.

South India

In South India, good rains are expected to continue throughout the week over South Interior Karnataka with isolated places receiving heavy spells as well.

Scattered light to moderate rains will be seen over Kerala throughout the week. Interior Tamil Nadu to witness rains from May 29 onward and would continue till May 31. Coastal Andhra Pradesh might also witness scattered rains from May 29 and Rayalaseema from May 30. With this, isolated light rains might occur over Telangana on June 1 and 2.

Also, Andaman and Nicobar Islands would continue to get light to moderate rains with few heavy spells throughout the week.

East and Northeast India

In East and Northeast India, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells are expected to continue over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh until May 29. While, scattered rains will be a sight over rest Northeast India. Odisha might receive light to moderate rains from May 28 with intermittent rains in offing until May 30.

Rain activities too commence over the eastern parts of Bihar and Jharkhand from May 30 and would eventually increase. Gangetic West Bengal will also witness rain and thundershowers around June 1 and 2. However, weather of East Uttar Pradesh, western parts of Bihar and Jharkhand would be dry throughout the week.
