April 8, 2016 3:35 PM |

featuredAs the auspicious 9 days festival of navratras start, people from across the country start to flock the tourist/religious hill station of Vaishno Devi.

Here is the 9-day weather forecast for Vaishno Devi

On the start of navratras that is on April 8, the skies will be clear as people start to visit Vaishno Devi.

On April 9, the skies will be partly cloudy in Vaishno Devi and Katra region. Short spell of rain and thundershower activity cannot be ruled out completely. This weather activity is because of the fresh Western Disturbance affecting the Jammu and Kashmir region. This spell will happen sometime around late afternoon and early evening.

The intensity of these rains will be very light and will be happening in isolated areas.

But on April 10 and 11 the rain intensity will increase significantly with increased number of spells too.

By April 12 this rainfall weather activity will ease out. The skies will be clear with few patches of clouds here and there. Chances of further rainfall activity are almost negligible.

The maximum temperatures during navratras in Vaishno Devi and Karta will not cross more than 30°C, with 27 °C and the minimum temperatures will be around 16°C-17°C.

Overall a comfortable time to visit the auspicious and religious place and fulfill your religious goals.
