Weather in Delhi to be warm and humid; light rain likely

July 15, 2018 3:39 PM |

Delhi-NCR region, including the cities of Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad have received light to moderate rains over some parts during the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Delhi’s Ridge observatory recorded 13.7 mm of rain, followed by Ayanagar 2.7 mm and Palam 7.4 mm of rain.

Currently, the axis of Monsoon trough is passing close to the southern parts of Delhi. Simultaneously the Western Disturbance as an upper air system lies over North Pakistan and adjoining North Jammu and Kashmir. Hence, the western end of axis of monsoon trough is likely to become active and may slightly shift northwards.

Therefore, we expect warm and humid weather with cloudy sky conditions to continue over Delhi-NCR. Spell of rain and thundershowers may affect over few parts of the Delhi region.

Maximum temperatures are likely to settle between 33 to 35 degrees. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures would be around 27 to 28 degrees.

Few short spells of rain and thundershowers may occur over some places of Faridabad, Gurgaon, Central, East, New Delhi, North, North East, North West, South, South East, South West, West, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar districts of Delhi-NCR during next 3-4 hours.
