Western Disturbance brings rain in Delhi, North India

Sun has been playing hide and seek in Delhi as a bright sun appeared today morning but the weather turned cloudy by 10.30 am, bringing light rain in East Delhi and parts of Noida. The sky will become clear by afternoon but few spells are expected again in the evening.

Delhi has been enjoying a good weather with day temperatures settling in the mid- twenties for the last couple of days. The maximums recorded on the 4th and 5th of February were 25.7°C and 24.8°C, respectively. The day temperature was 6°C above normal at 27.8°C on the 3rd of February. The temperature in Delhi has been rising sharply as the sun appears and today as well, it is expected to reach mid-twenties. There aren't any chances of Fog in Delhi for the next 3 days.

Rain in North India

A Western Disturbance is active over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir region. This system has induced a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan. The weather in parts of North India has been cloudy since morning and rain in the plains of North India is likely during the day. Amritsar and Chandigarh in Punjab have been observing medium to high clouds since morning hours. These clouds will gradually thicken and bring rain showers in the later part of the day.

Fog in North India has taken a backseat and a clear weather prevailed today as well. The general visibility has been good in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh with Amritsar, Chandigarh, Allahabad and Lucknow recording more than 900 meters. However, shallow fog was reported in Gorakhpur and Agra. Fog in North India will not make a comeback in the next 3 days.
