Believed to be inhabited by Bhils in old days and famous for being the textile city in the state of Rajasthan in today’s times, Bhilwara is a small city in the district of Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The winter season in Bhilwara spans over three months starting from December till February. Winter is icy cold in the city owing to its rocky and hilly terrain. Nights turn very cold and minimums settle around 5°C. There are times when the night temperatures drop to sub zero levels. Winter afternoons are however comfortable and quite suitable for travel. Maximums record around 20°C.

While winter is biting cold, summer is uncomfortably hot, lasting from March to May. Day’s maximums easily settle around 37⁰C and exceed 43⁰C in the hottest month of May. Minimum temperatures however range from 25 to 28°C. Tourists usually avoid the summer season for travel.

The best time to visit this small yet beautiful city is October to March. The temperature during the day remains comfortable and apt for visiting the monuments and other places of interest. Chilly nights are perfect for a bonfire. Some of the famous places to visit in and around Bhilwara are Badnore Fort, Mandalgarh fort and Harni Mahadev temple.
