Best time to visit is between November to March. Dusshera, the festival of goddess Durga, is very popular in Cuttack. Idols are adorned with huge amounts of gold and silver, with localities trying to outsmart each other by constructing more attractive idols. Katakchandi temple, Barabati fort and one of the ancient engineering marvels, the Stone Revetment are worth a visit.
