Winter months of December, January and February are quite cold when minimums reach 10°C. Day temperatures stay in the range of 26°C to 29°C and therefore, do not forget to carry woollens while on a trip to Chaibasa. December and January are the coldest months of the year. In the heart of the place there is a small lake called Jubilee Lake comprising of two small islands. This is one of the main attractions here and winters are a good time to visit this lake. Two parks, Saheed Park and Rungta Garden are also worth a visit.
