Dalhousie
Overview
Dalhousie is a hill station located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The town has an elevation of about 7,000 ft and is situated on five hills, offering great trekking opportunities. Tourism is the main stay of Dalhousie which accounts for 13% of the GDP of Himachal Pradesh. The best time to visit the town is from May to September. The hill station was established in 1854 by the then British Governor-General of India Lord Dalhousie.
