Situated at a height of about 7, 700 feet above the sea level in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, Mukteshwar is a calm and secluded hilly town that attracts thousands of tourists every year. Summer months from April to May are very pleasant, offering majestic views. The temperatures during this period are comfortable with maximums settling around 25°C and minimums around 12°C, on an average. This is one of the best times to visit the place.

Monsoon season is from July to September. The place receives good amounts of rain during the period. Any plans of travelling to Mukteshwar during this time should be avoided as landslides are very common and may lead to road blocks.
