Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala and is also the largest city in the state with a population of around 1.68 million. Long stretches of breezy backwaters and pristine sandy beaches make the city a huge attraction for tourists across the world. It is also home to Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, considered to be the richest temple in the world. Thiruvananthapuram has a climate that borders between a tropical savanna climate and a tropical monsoon climate, enjoying all the three seasons of summer, monsoon and winter.

For those who love wildlife, the Neyyar dam and wildlife sanctuary is a great place to visit. There's also a crocodile farm and Lion and deer safari park in the vicinity.
